Are you experienced in leading a product development team, built with members who are experts in customers, media and marketing solutions? Do you have prior experience in product development for digital advertising and marketing services to local businesses? Have you helped lead in the creation of services as product offerings to simplify the procurement process?

Join AffinityX to take on our product management role that works across functions to create unique value for AX’s clients and successfully deliver solutions to competitively address the market’s most pressing needs. 

You will lead the development, strategy and implementation of various advertising and marketing solutions to support our Partners and direct sales programs, and will partner with leadership including sales, product marketing, marketing, and operations to drive innovation.

This position will report to the VP, Product Marketing.

Position Responsibilities and Essential Duties (other duties may be assigned):

Continually Drive Advertising Product Innovation

  • Collaborate with the Sales, Product, Marketing, Development, Finance, and Ops teams to manage products from Ideation through launch (and ongoing lifecycle)
  • Oversee the product development process – from discovery to execution, launch and ongoing quality control – and manage interdependencies with Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance and IT
    • Developing a standardized checklist for the new product launch
    • Working with various parties to vet vendors/solutions
    • Requirements gathering, Roadmap development & timeline management, Identifying internal stakeholders / fulfillment parties
    • Unify teams/parties on projects and holding accountable to actions needed to complete
    • Workflow/process development
    • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Product Marketing on pricing/packaging strategies
    • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Marketing/Enablement on materials & training development:
      • Internal Training, Sales Training, Sales Collateral, Content/External marketing strategies, and assist in the development of go-to-market strategy
    • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Marketing/Enablement, and Sales teams to ensure successful launch and sales readiness
  • Evaluate and recommend the best strategy to deliver a service/product with the end goal of providing innovative, competitive solutions while improving operational efficiencies and profitability of the service line. (i.e., internally provided through organic growth vs. farming-out to vendors or suppliers)
  • Define key performance indicators for operational excellence of product delivery and revenue targets, as well as KPIs for service delivery to end clients
  • Identify cadence of technical, sales and operational product maturation processes including enhancement targets.
  • Oversee and audit the adherence to product SOPs and workflow, as well as maintenance/updates and process improvements
  • Be Customer obsessed, ensuring the solutions you develop solve client needs
  • Proactively offer guidance and expertise to internal teams, sellers, and clients, ensuring program success and client satisfaction, and serve as a client/Partner facing role both pre- and post-sale
    • Pre-Sale: Assist reps/planners by explaining technically complex products/campaign strategies/services to a non-technical person
    • Post-Sale: Assist fulfillment/retention in same capacity
  • Manage and oversee product P&Ls in collaboration with Product and Finance teams as well as client contract change requests (CCR) to ensure product pricing and scope assumptions are accurate

Product Team Management

  • Set performance objectives; conduct performance reviews; and recommend pay actions of direct reports
  • Ensure product managers/SMEs consistently meet project timelines, deliverables and client objectives
  • Coach members of the team to ensure continuous development and improvement of overall skills & capabilities, customer focused mindset, and drive for excellence
    • This includes creation and supporting of individual development plans
  • Oversee the enforcement and implementation of company policies within team 

Desired Skills

  • Digital-first experience, with the ability to understand and communicate how digital solutions harmonize with offline and traditional media strategies to create frictionless, omni-channel marketing ecosystems
  • Previous experience in at least one of the following functional areas: Data-driven Marketing, Customer Data Platforms, Marketing Automation, CRM or Digital Marketing in Paid Media.
  • Agile development experience a plus
  • Excellent communicator, with effective and motivational presentation and training style
  • Highly organized and detail driven
  • Strong managerial experience, with an eye for mentorship and continuous growth 
  • Proficiency with the following:
    • Google AdWords (Including GDN, YouTube & Shopping)
    • Google Ads Certified – Search Advertising (Required)
    • Google Ads Certified – Display Advertising (Required)
    • Google Ads Certified – Video Advertising (Required)
    • Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Simplifi, Centro, SiteScout, The Trade Desk (DSP, PMP, DMP)
    • Google Tag Manager 
    • Google Analytics
    • Google Search Console
    • Common website CMS tools and basic HTML
  • Ability to quickly/effectively analyze marketing data
  • Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to creatively solve problems
